Welcome to Morey Hall

Home to the Department of English, Morey Hall is named for William Carey Morey, 1843-1925, class of 1868. Professor Morey taught Latin, history, and political science, and also helped found the Rochester Historical Society.

INSPIRATION PROJECT

Inspiration Project anthology reading

Join us Thursday, April 25th at 6pm for our final anthology reading for the 2024 Inspiration Project. The collaborative effort pairs UR students with consumers served by CP Rochester to create original written works.

Refreshments will be served and the event is free and open to all.

Celebrate semester's end with Writer's Lounge

The Writer's Lounge will be celebrating the end of the semester with a party! If you took a writing course, wrote something for class, or attended a reading, this party is for you!

There will be an open mic and free pizza on May 2 from 5-7pm in the Humanities Center Lounge.
