Father Maximilian Kolbe (1894-1941)- visionary Franciscan monk, scholar, journalist, publisher, and founder of monasteries and publishing houses in Poland and Japan - was canonized by Pope John Paul II in 1982. Dr. Braun, a professor at the University at Buffalo and a writer, will talk about the life and works of this extraordinary man. The presentation is based on extensive research done in both countries.
