Once you’re back in Rochester, you can look forward to attending a Welcome Back reception. You can also apply to become an education abroad peer advisor to share your experiences with other students. Here are some important things to know when you return from being abroad:

Become an Education Abroad Ambassador

Wondering how to bring your education abroad experience back to campus? Become an Education Abroad Ambassador! As an Ambassador, your name and a contact form will be listed on our website so that students can contact you with questions about the program you went on!

This is a great opportunity to help fellow students, gain leadership experience, and participate in receptions and celebrations!

Study Abroad Returnee Conference

If you have recently lived, studied, interned, volunteered, or worked abroad, you are invited to the ROC Your Global Future: Study Abroad Returnee Conference. 

This is a networking and career development opportunity where students from 11 different colleges in the greater Rochester area, who have connected with an abroad experience, come together to connect, share, network, and explore additional international opportunities.

Conference Highlights Include:
  • Meeting recent overseas returnees from all over the region
  • Hearing from dynamic and motivating speakers
  • Learning how to talk about your newly acquired global skills in a job interview
  • Exploring how you can work or go abroad after graduation
  • Networking with professionals working in internationally-focused jobs

Education Abroad Photo Contest

The 2020 photo contest  will open for submissions in the fall to those students who participated in an education abroad program in the previous academic year, including Summer 2020. Check out the latest photo contest winners here.
