About me...

I am a sophomore at UofR studying Computer Science, Neuroscience, and Mathematics. My research interests primarily lie in computational neuroscience. At the Computational Neuroscience of Audition Lab, I am investigating the neural mechanisms of auditory processing. At the Schallek Lab, I am researching the morphological changes microglia in the retinal periphery undergo when in the presence of an injury. Both of these projects aim to elucidate the molecular and cellular mechanism of the brain to facilitate therapeutic development for neurological disease and conditions.

What advice do you have for prospective or new researchers?

A valuable piece of advice I have received from many of my PIs has been that realizing you are not interested in something can be equally as important as falling in love with the work you are doing. Embrace the unknown and take chances in your research pursuits; you never know where they might lead you.
