Caroline Lizotte, harp


A much in-demand soloist, chamber and orchestra musician, Caroline Lizotte was OSM’s principal harp by interim in 2002 and frequently joins the Orchestra since 2003. Harpist at the Orchestre symphonique de Trois-Rivières since 1995, she is a member of the Four Seasons Harp Quartet and contributes regularly to a variety of album recordings. She is an associate composer of the Canadian Music Centre, and a number of her original compositions as well as transcriptions have been recorded and are played throughout the world. In March 2014 a concert devoted to her works will be presented as part of the Women in Music Festival at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. She also teaches harp at the Université de Montréal and at the Conservatoire de musique de Trois-Rivières, in addition to chamber music at McGill University’s Schulich School of Music.
