Overview

The University of Rochester Ain Center for Entrepreneurship is launching a new boot camp program designed for entrepreneurs, small business owners and aspiring small business owners in the greater Rochester community called “Buzz Lab: Four Saturdays for a Better Business.” This program, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on February 9, 16, 23, and March 2, is supported by a University Center grant from the Economic Development Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce.

2019 Topics include:

  • Innovation and Strategies for Growth (including Management of Ideas, Business Management, Bootstrapping, Managing Employees and Funding Sources)
  • Running Your Business (including Filtering Ideas, Hiring/HR/Interviewing, and Payroll)
  • Marketing/Online Presence/Packaging (including Idea Validation)
  • Pricing and Specialty Topics as Breakout Sessions (including Business Structure/Tax Law, Social Media/Marketing, Storefront/Retail Considerations)

Community

  • Participants may register online or download a paper registration form. More information can be found in the Buzz Lab Boot Camp brochure.
  • This course is valued at $400. Through the Economic Development Administration grant program, University Center Scholarships are provided to all who register and the fee for participants for all four sessions is only $25. Payment can be made at the first session in the form of cash or check. We cannot process credit or debit cards.
