Hall Program Request Form

If you are a Freshmen Fellow or RA, please use the form below to request a workshop in your hall facilitated by a Gwen M. Greene Career and Internship Center Peer Career Advisor (PCA).

We ask that you take care of reserving the space/technology in your Hall and market the program to your residents. Workshops will run for a total of 1 hour, including a 20-minute presentation and interactive Q&A/activity.

This form be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to your requested workshop in order to be considered, and availability is not guaranteed. After submitting this form, a PCA will reach out to you within one week to coordinate details.

Workshop Topics:

Our PCAs are able to facilitate a workshop on the following topics. All workshops will include a general overview of the Career Center in addition to the selected topic.

  • Resumes and Cover Letters 101—This workshop will provide the basics of resume and cover letter writing and if time allows, give your residents a chance to ask questions about their own documents.
  • Turn your High School Resume into a College One!—This workshop is designed for First Year students (or anyone just getting started) to give an overview of how to present yourself on a resume and begin targeting it for positions moving forward. If time allows, residents can bring in their resume drafts to ask questions and get tips on how to adapt their documents.
  • Getting started on your search for Internships and Research Opportunities—This workshop will give you an overview of our Handshake system, Career Center resources, and tips on how to jumpstart your search.

Anticipated Attendance:

A minimum of 10 students is requested in order for the workshop to run, and we ask that students register/RSVP to attend in Handshake. Please consider combining your workshop with another Hall in order to meet this recommendation if possible. If this minimum is not met 48 hours in advance of the event, the PCA will contact you regarding next steps.

Date/Time:

Program requests must be submitted 2 weeks in advance of the proposed event date. Please allow 20 minutes for the presentation and time for Q&A at the end (total 1 hour max).

Please list some preferred program dates/times and the PCA will reach out to work with you on finding a mutually available time.
