Peter Lennie

Senior Vice President and Robert L. and Mary L. Sproull Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Sciences and Engineering

Before returning to the University of Rochester in 2006, Peter Lennie served as the dean for science at New York University. In this role he was responsible for the Arts and Science department as well as interdisciplinary and interschool initiatives in the sciences.

Gloria Culver

Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences

As dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, Gloria Culver handles matters relating to the arts and humanities, social sciences, and natural and physical sciences departments and programs.

Robert Clark

Dean of the Hajim School of Engineering and Applied Sciences

Appointed in 2008, Robert Clark believes that the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences’ curricular flexibility and extensive interdisciplinary collaborations prepare the next generation of leaders in engineering. The Hajim School’s curriculum also enlightens students about the important societal role of science and technology.

Richard Feldman

Feldman, Richard

Dean of the College in Arts, Sciences and Engineering

Richard Feldman has led a distinguished 40-year career as a scholar, professor, and administrator. Having joined the University of Rochester in 1975 as a philosophy professor, he went on to chair the philosophy department for 13 years before he became dean of the College in 2006.

Wendi Heinzelman

Heinzelman, Wendi

Dean of Graduate Studies

Since 2001, Wendi Heinzelman has been a faculty member in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, where she is currently an associate professor. She also holds a secondary appointment in the Department of Computer Science.

David Williams

Williams, David

Dean for Research

As dean for research in Arts, Sciences and Engineering, David Williams works to maximize opportunities for faculty research and scholarship. Williams also assists faculty funding endeavors by guiding proposal preparations and enhancing the infrastructure for grant submission.
