If you want to attend medical school but lack the science classes required for admission, the University of Rochester’s Post-baccalaureate Pre-medical Program can help you achieve your goal.
For decades, the University of Rochester’s reputation for excellence in teaching science and the close proximity of our medical school have attracted students interested in pursuing careers in medicine. We have a strong program of long standing that assists our pre-medical students through the process of applying to medical school. In the fall of 2008, the University of Rochester welcomed our first class of Post-baccalaureate Pre-medical students.
We seek highly motivated people who, while not pre-medical students, were successful in college, and who have now committed themselves to pursue a career in medicine. We invite you to begin your journey toward medical school in Rochester; here, you’ll immerse yourself in the world of science and research, gaining the skills (and credits) you need to go to medical school.
