There were many brightly painted little hands and feet at the construction site of the new Golisano Children’s Hospital Oct. 1 as pediatric patients made their mark on a beam that was to be installed inside the new hospital. Inpatients and outpatients had the opportunity to decorate a steel beam with their signatures and paint-slathered hand or foot prints.
The new $145-million tower, located on Crittenden Boulevard and attached to the Medical Center will be eight floors and approximately 245,000 square feet of space dedicated to children and their families. The new building is expected to open in 2015.
