Noam Chomsky welcomed as Distinguished Visiting Humanist

Noam Chomsky

Noam Chomsky, professor emeritus of linguistics at MIT, drew a standing-room-only crowd to the Interfaith Chapel for his public talk, “Language, Creativity, and the Limits of Understanding” on April 21. Chomsky—an esteemed linguist, philosopher, political commentator, and activist—met with students and faculty and took part in two public events—all part of his visit as the University’s Distinguished Visiting Humanist.
