Kathleen Gallucci has been named associate vice president for Human Resources at the Medical Center and executive director for human resources for the University.

Gallucci has served as chief human resource officer and director of Lean process initiatives at Highland Hospital since 2006. She joined Highland in 2004 as director of organizational development. She previously spent seven years in HR positions at Wegmans Food Markets and was appointed director of corporate human resources there in 1998.

At the Medical Center, Gallucci will lead a team of 30 that manages the Medical Center’s hiring processes, workforce development, performance management, and benefits programs. She’ll work with the Medical Center’s leaders to deliver a “best-in-class” service organization that supports the Medical Center’s strategic priorities and those of the University.

Gallucci reports to Tony Kinslow, associate vice president for human resources for the University, and will have a dotted-line reporting relationship to Medical Center CEO Mark Taubman.

“Kathy’s role will be pivotal in helping URMC become a preferred destination for faculty, staff, students, patients, and their families,” Kinslow says. “Our goal is to be the employer of choice in our region and a place that attracts people who want to learn, discover, heal, and create.”

Gallucci began her new role on May 1.
