LOWELL AND CAROL GOLDSMITH

Lowell Goldsmith ’02M (MPH), dean emeritus of the School of Medicine and Dentistry, founding chair of the department of dermatology, and professor emeritus, and his wife Carol have generously supported the University of Rochester Medical Center over the years. Most recently they endowed the Carol A. and Lowell Goldsmith Professorship in Dermatology. The Goldsmiths utilized thoughtful gift planning strategies including a charitable remainder trust, charitable gift annuities that provide them guaranteed income for life, a donor–advised fund , and a bequest intention as well as outright gifts. “Carol and I are grateful to those who joined us in this endeavor and hope this will serve as a catalyst for others to establish funds that will forever keep the University at the forefront of research, education, and patient care, said Dr. Goldsmith.
