A Conversation with Sandra Kroupa, University of Washington Book Arts and Rare Books Curator

With forty years of experience in the University of Washington libraries, Sandra Kroupa oversees a wide range of subject areas for UW Special Collections with emphasis on nineteenth century literature and book arts. She teaches courses on the book in the Ph.D. program in Textual Studies and guest lectures in a variety of related classes.

Alison Mandaville teaches Literature and Women Studies at the University of Washington and Western Washington University and is spending 2007-8 as a Fulbright Scholar researching women and literature in post-Soviet Azerbaijan . She became interested in book arts through her work on women writers, William Blake, and world comics literature.
