Step 1: Launch your Eudora application and then click Special and select Settings as seen below:
Step 2: Select Getting Started on the left side. On the right side, enter your username, webmail.ur.rochester.edu, your real name and your full e-mail address provided to you by your IT Administrator.
Step 3: Select Checking Mail on the left side, On the right side, enter your user name if not already given, and mail host. Select the button for IMAP. If you wish to have Eudora remember your password, check the box for Save Password. Send on Check and Minimal Headers Only should be enabled by default.

Step 4: On the left side, scroll to SSL. Click on Older SSL Implementations for Standard Port SSL Negotiation and Maximum Compatibility for Alternate Port SSL Negotiation.

From this point on, the default settings are used so unless you wish to create a signature to be added at the end of your message, you can click OK and Check Mail. If you have successfully configured your account, you will get a Task Progress box and mail will fill your inbox with any unread messages.
Note that there is a problem accessing the Exchange Directory (Global Address Book, or GAL) with Eudora. Currently this functionality is not available. We are looking into the situation. |
