WHAT: Seventeen artists from the region will take over ‘The Sunday School’ located in the back of the Rochester Lyric Opera Theatre for two evenings of site-specific installations, dance, and performance art.

Their work is inspired by a unique space in the building’s cabaret hall, which is scheduled for renovations in 2016.

The events are co-curated and organized by Missy Pfohl Smith, director of the Program of Dance and Movement, and Evelyne Leblanc-Roberge, Assistant Professor of Art and Lens Based Media at the University of Rochester, and features several independent artists and faculty from the University of Rochester, RIT, Alfred University, Alfred State College, and Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

Tickets are $5 and available at the door.

TIME, DATE, PLACE: 440 East Avenue on Friday, Dec. 4 and Saturday, Dec. 5 from 6-9 p.m. For more information visit thesundayschool.space
