Q: How is holiday time paid to hourly staff?

A: When a legal holiday falls on Saturday or Sunday, the University officially observes the holiday on Friday or Monday, calling it a “University fixed holiday”. Holiday pay (which includes HOL: University Holiday and HPR: Holiday Worked Premium) will only apply to one of these days, never both.
