What you will find on this website
The University of Rochester’s Policies and Procedures website launched in January 2021 as the first step in an ongoing effort to establish a central location to explore policies and procedures that apply broadly to the University community.
The website is designed to be fully accessible and to present policies in a consistent format that works well on a range of screen and display sizes. The goal is to make University policies easier to find, search, share, and download.
Policy topics and updates
The bulk of the policies currently available on the website cover topics related to personnel and employment, leaves of absence, conduct and community values, and other areas covered by Human Resources.
In the coming months, the website will add new policies covering a wider range of topics, including general administration, finance, research, information technology, data governance, academics, and more.
The website will spotlight newly added and updated policies on the homepage, and will feature updates and announcements related to policy reviews and changes.
The policies and procedures included on this website apply broadly to members of the University community. Policies and guidelines that apply specifically to an academic school or department, administrative unit, or patient care facility fall outside the scope of this website.
