Again this year, Harrington ("Kit") Crissey '66 serves as impresario for Eastman talent: In September, he's bringing together another alumni concert, featuring the music of Eastman composers, past and present, performed by Eastman alumni. The event takes place on Sunday, September 29, at 2 p.m. at the Downs Cultural Center of the Ingleside Retirement Apartments, 1010 North Broom St., Wilmington, Del. The concert will honor the 75th anniversary of the school and the centennial of Howard Hanson's birth. All Rochester graduates are cordially invited to attend--and Crissey asks anyone who wishes to perform to contact him at (215) 782-8213.
Last March, Crissey sponsored "Eastman Endeavors," a concert featuring works by composers Wayne Barlow '34E, '37E (PhD), William Copper '79E, John Davison '59E (PhD), and Louis Gordon '48E performed by soprano Charlene Campbell Butler '70E, pianists Davison and Gordon, clarinetist Paula Rothman '67E, and soprano Carol Dawn Winkelman '58E, '59E (Mas).
