A composer and arranger of considerable achievement, Alexander Courage '41E also happens to be an accomplished amateur photographer. That's his photo here of friend and colleague André Previn attempting to prove, in the photographer's words, "that a man can be an island."
Courage has deposited hundreds of his photos--along with television and film scores and recordings, movie scripts, notes and sketches, personal papers, and sheet music--at Sibley Music Library at the Eastman School. The collection is Sibley's largest.
