Lois Giess received the Valued Colleague Award presented by the Susan B. Anthony University Center at the University of Rochester. The center provides programs, resources, and services about careers, education, public policy, health care, business, and athletics for women. The award is given each year to a woman or man who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to the work of the center. Giess has been a member of Rochester's City Council since 1985 and president since 1994. She also serves on the boards of many community organizations, including the Center for Governmental Research, Arts for Greater Rochester, and the Landmark Society of Western New York.

Lori Beth Steinbarge Hoffman '95N (MS) writes: "I'd like to announce the birth of my second son, Jason Michael, born on September 1. My first son, Billy, is 2. My husband, Bill, and I just built a new house in Baldwinsville, N.Y. I am working as a nurse practitioner at James Square Health and Rehabilitation Centre in Syracuse, N.Y., where I cover half of a 455-bed SNF/subacute rehabilitation unit which keeps me really busy."

Robert and Kristine Taylor Dorman '95RC relocated to Owings Mills, Md. Robert is working as a pediatric transport nurse specialist at Maryland Express Care for Kids, part of the University of Maryland medical system.

Angela Carlson (MS) married Christopher Liberatore on May 30 in Geneva, N.Y. Angela is a pediatric nurse practitioner in the department of child neurology at Strong Memorial Hospital.
