COHEN BEGINS TERM AS TCC PRESIDENT

Lawrence Cohen
Cohen

Lawrence Cohen '66, who has served as president-elect of the Trustees' Council of the College during the past year, steps up as president for the 2000- 2001 academic year.

The appointment is formalized at the May meeting of the Council.

Cohen, a physician in Los Angeles, has been an active member of the Council for two terms, serving as chair of the UR Involved committee for 1999-2000. UR Involved is the College's newly invigorated outreach program designed to give alumni more outlets for sharing their expertise in student recruitment, career networking, and community development.

Cohen also has been active in the Council's planning of the Sesquicentennial and the events and reunions surrounding the October 12-15 weekend.

His wife, Jane Zimelis Cohen '67, serves as a marketing consultant to the Sesquicentennial.

After graduating in 1966, Cohen received his medical degree from the State University of New York's Downstate Medical Center. He is a practicing radiologist in Los Angeles.
