Undergraduate Honors

Loren Cerami '02 was selected for a prestigious Churchill Scholarship, one of only 10 students nationwide to receive the award. The optics major will spend the 2002-03 year at Cambridge University's Churchill College, pursuing a master's degree in engineering.

Three University juniors (right) received Goldwater Scholarships for the coming year. Only 309 students were chosen nationwide for the awards, which are given each year to students who plan to pursue careers in science. The award carries a stipend of up to $7,500.

Jason Nordhaus '03 is an astrophysics and mathematics major.

Nicholas Slater '03 is a mechanical engineering major.

Prabhjot Dhadialla '03 is a cell and developmental biology and history major.
