Pasquina
Dwayne Day writes, "My attempt to sail solo across the Atlantic ended badly with a squall off the coast of Wales that swamped my boat. But I am now happily living in England, where I am studying liturgical clowning." . . . Patrick Delany and his wife, Colleen, write to note the birth of their son, Noah Patrick, born July 17. He joins his big brother, Patrick Jr. . . . Beverly Seidenberg Haidar writes to note the birth of her first child, Jayde Wadad Haidar, born April 26. "She is beautiful, and we’re loving every moment!" . . . Joseph Keyes and his wife, Corine, had their second son, Brendan Thomas, born February 13. Brendan joins his brother, Doug, 3. . . . Petra Halpern Pasquina sends a picture of her son, Lucas Edward, born July 11. He joins his brother, Max, 3.

1991

Teresa Carroll, a quadriplegic since age 19, does advocacy work for the disabled and is moderator of the computer news group Rochester Disabled. She was working with Rochester business people to develop a Web site to help the disabled find appropriate housing. . . . Meredith Robinson was promoted to lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy and serves at the Naval Legal Service Office in Washington, D.C.

1992

Michael Thorn was promoted to vice president of series development and programming of the USA television network. He joined the network in 2000 and oversaw the series Cover Me: The True Life of an FBI Family and The Huntress. He was also instrumental in bringing the John Woo-produced pilot Red Skies to the network in August. . . . Doreen Gilmartin Waldbieser ’92E writes that she and her husband, Mike, had their second child, Karen Elise, on February 28. After staying home with her daughters, she notes that she planned to return to work as a school counselor part time for the 2002-03 school year.

1993

10TH REUNION
OCTOBER 10-12, 2003

Carl Arena Jr. became engaged in June to Lynn Flamini and planned a November wedding. He is a manager at the Burgundy Basin Inn, and she works at a doctor’s office. . . . Laureen Burke ’97M (MD) was one of several baby boomers profiled in an Associated Press article who gave up a profitable career to go back to law or medical school. She left a successful marketing career at Xerox to go to medical school and is now an obstetrician and gynecologist in Rochester. . . . Jeremy Glick, credited as one of the passengers on Flight 93 who attacked their hijackers and prevented the plane from hitting its target on September 11, was one of four honored with ESPN’s Arthur Ashe Courage Award during the network’s annual Espy Awards. Jeremy was a national collegiate judo champion.

1994

Nina Goodman married Gideon Lachman on November 10, 2001, and sent a photo. Pictured are Jennifer Ehrenreich, Doris Santoro, Nina, Erica Sterling, and Colleen Chapman. Also attending were Dan Brustman, James Conlon, David Jablonowski ’92, Noah Vadnai, and Aaron Weiss. The couple lives in Washington, D.C., where they "enjoy raising turtles." . . . Stephanie Cooper Lawrence and her husband, Todd, had their first child, Jake Benjamin, on January 14. They live in Westchester County, N.Y. Stephanie writes, "Last November, we had a great time at Marla Kim Babat’s wedding to Stephen Yonaty, in which I was a bridesmaid." . . . Lisa McDermott married Sean Hudson August 9. She is a first-grade teacher in Cheektowaga, N.Y., and he is a student accounts technician at Canisius College.

1995

Christopher Lamason married Lorie Danner in June. He is a mechanical engineer with Advantek of New Castle, Del., and she is a human resources representative. . . . Sonia Robertson married Matthew Garner ’96 on August 10. She is an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell, a New York City law firm, and he is a post-production director at Miramax Films. . . . Nikhil Sivakumaran writes that his short film, Diwali, won an award at the SMPTE/RAVA film festival, which took place in Rochester in September. The film, which is semiautobiographical and based on his life at Rochester, was also screened at the Cannes Film Festival. . . . David Thiel, vice president of Auragen Communications of Rochester, was elected to the board of directors of Career Development Services. . . . Richard Wallingford III joined Mayo Regional Administrative Services Corp. of Dover, Maine, as a practicing physician.

1996

Nicole Keon married Matthew Blute May 25. She attends Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and he attends the American Film Institute of Los Angeles. . . .
Jennifer Wisinski married Jared Oakley ’98 on September 2, 2001, and sent a photo. In attendance were Daniel Schultz, Joe and Jill Oestreicher Gross, Sarah Hendershot, Chris Williams ’97, Adam Hess ’97, Adam Weil ’98, Tara Kates ’97, Amy Sauer, Mark Cohen ’01, Dominika Glazek ’02, and Jamie and Wendy Mazurek Krug ’99 (not pictured). Jared will be entering his second year in the master’s of architecture program at SUNY Buffalo, and Jennifer is studying design at Buffalo State College.

1997

Diana Eckenrode married Matthew Caruana July 5. She is a counselor at McKinley High School in Buffalo, and he is a registered nurse in Deaconess Center. . . .
Julie Goldblatt and Alan Noskow were planning a September 2002 wedding. Melissa Gaeta Derleth N sends a picture from Julie and Alan’s engagement party in Maryland. Pictured from left are (top) Patrick Derleth, David Cheikin, Dana Kurtz, Becky Noskow ’96, Evan Himmelfarb, Jeff Brickman, (bottom) Melissa, Alison Kamerer, Julie, and Alan. . . . Megan Grace ’01M (MD) married Jason Lyons on May 11. Both are first-year residents in internal medicine at the Medical Center. . . . Amy Henion and Chris Fisher were planning a May 2003 wedding. She works for the American Cancer Society in Atlanta, and he is conducting postdoctoral research for the National Institutes of Health in Montana. . . . Carlos Martin writes that he joined the Cincinnati law firm of Keating, Muething & Klekamp as an associate attorney after graduating with honors from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in May.

Kevin Axx sends an update. After graduating from the SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in May, he is working to complete a general practice residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, N.Y., in June 2003. . . .
Harder
Reynell Harder graduated in June from Philadelphia College of Medicine. She is in residency at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, where she specializes in opthalmology. . . .
Nancy Mychalak married Jack Walsh on June 9 and sent a photo. Robert Rice ’99W (MS) married Jennifer Beers on June 29. He is an applied behavioral sciences specialist at Continuing Development Services in Rochester, and she is a speech therapist.

1999

Jessica Anderson and Daniel Hughes were planning an October 2002 wedding. She is pursuing a doctoral degree in modern European history at Rutgers University, and he is a sales representative for All American Poly Corp. . . . Melissa Diaz ’00W (MS), a social studies teacher in New York City, writes that she was planning to travel around the world, visiting 11 countries as a resident director for the Semester at Sea Fall 2002 voyage. . . .
Melissa Gong and Keith Monaghan sent a photo from their June 30 wedding. At the wedding were Christopher Cuccia, Suzette Rochat Harris, Christine Buchanan, Alicia Lewis ’00, and David Park ’95. The couple lives in Long Island, where she works at SUNY Stony Brook as a research associate and Keith is an electrical engineer. . . . Laura Kelley writes that she received her law degree from the SUNY Buffalo School of Law in May. At commencement, she received the Maurice Frey Award for academic performance in family law. She was studying for the July bar exam and plans to stay in the Buffalo area to practice family and child welfare law. At Buffalo, she was active as a member of the Jessup International Law Moot Court Board and senior associate editor of the Buffalo Women’s Law Journal, in which she was published twice. She notes that she used her experience as a residential advisor at Rochester and was assistant hall director at SUNY Buffalo’s residence halls and apartments while pursuing her degree.
