| MIND BLOWING: Frank Mrakovcic ’03 coaxes the
“Hurricane“ as the leafblower-powered machine hovers to the
finish line in the 19th annual American Society of Mechanical Engineers
competition at the University last winter. Mrakovcic, Hurricane teammate
Ben Sternberg ’03, and other engineering students were challenged
to design and build a hovercraft that could move forward while remaining
off the floor. The competition was supervised by David Quesnel, professor
of mechanical engineering. |
