Spring Wrap-Up

Women’s Basketball: The women’s basketball team earned its fifth consecutive postseason playoff appearance when the Yellowjackets were selected for the ECAC Upstate New York championships last winter.

Rochester reached the semifinals and finished 16–11 overall. The Yellowjackets were 7–7 in the UAA.

Forward Kelly Wescott ’05 was named a WBCA/ESPN Honorable Mention All-American, First Team All–UAA, All–ECAC Upstate New York, and All–East by D3hoops.com. Wescott topped the 1,000-point career total during the season. She finished her career fifth in scoring (1,197 points) and eighth in rebounding (704).

Megan Fish ’05, Jessie Graham ’06, and Danielle Muller ’07 were named Honorable Mention All–UAA. Fish ended 11th in career scoring (918), 16th in rebounding (487). Graham set a single-season record for 3-point goals (72).

Women’s Swimming and Diving: The Yellowjackets capped off a 10–2 dual meet season with a first-ever victory over Ithaca. The Yellowjackets finished sixth at the UAA championships and second at the Liberty League meet. Danielle Scherry ’08 was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Year.

Men’s Swimming and Diving: The team broke three school records in 2004–05. Craig Matt ’07 broke two marks and Pete Maxwell ’05 broke one. The Yellowjackets were fourth at the Liberty League championships, and eighth at the UAA championships. The team’s dual meet record was 4–7.
