Ford Wing dedication

CELEBRATION: The School of Nursing capped off an $8.1 million expansion and renovation project this spring with the dedication of the new Loretta C. Ford Education Wing of Helen Wood Hall. The new wing is intended to help the school increase student enrollment substantially, boost technological capabilities, and enhance research. The addition is named in recognition of Loretta (Lee) Ford, the school’s dean emerita who is internationally known for her role in the creation of the nurse practitioner as a profession.

C. McCollister Evarts ’57M (MD), ’64M (Res), Medical Center CEO; Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.); Patricia Chiverton, dean of the School of Nursing; Loretta Ford ’00 (Honorary); President Seligman; President Emeritus Jackson; Trustee Robert Hurlbut; and Adam Taitemann ’06, president of the Student Nurses Association, help dedicate the new wing.
