Irvin Emanuel (MD) writes, “On June 21, 2006, I delivered the keynote address at the annual meeting of the Society for Pediatric and Perinatal Research in Seattle. My talk was entitled, ‘What History Tells Us about Maternal and Child Health.’ I am emeritus professor of epidemiology and pediatrics at the University of Washington.”

1962
Ernest Bates (MD), founder, CEO, and chair of American Shared Hospital Services, was elected to the Keck Graduate Institute’s board of trustees.

1964
David Stevens (MD), a professor of medicine at Stanford University, received the Lucille Georg Medal from the International Society for Human and Animal Mycology.

1971
David Green (MD) (see ’67RC undergraduate).

1975
Henry Nasrallah (Res) is editor-in-chief of the journal Current Psychiatry. Henry is associate dean and professor of psychiatry, neurology, and neuroscience at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.

Samantha Garvey Miller (MS) (see ’89RC graduate).

1998
Jayakrishna Ambati (Res), an ophthalmology researcher at the University of Kentucky, received the 2006 Lew R. Wasserman Award from Research to Prevent Blindness.

2003
Paul Motika (MD) and Caroline Baumann ’04 (MD) were married on August 5, 2006, in Ithaca, N.Y. Paul and Caroline are residents at the University of Michigan Hospital—Paul in neurology and Caroline in internal medicine.
