Pete Beemiller received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan’s cell and molecular biology program last August. . . . Amie Carr is coach of the Fairport (N.Y.) High School girls softball team, which won the Section V Class AAA championship last year. . . . Jennifer Chapek and Jon Moon were married on June 3, 2006, in New York City. Jennifer is the associate curator at Artists Space, a nonprofit art gallery, and Jon is vice president for operations at Dotmenu, an online food-ordering network. . . . Lauren Michaels Korn and her husband, Jerald, announce the birth of their son, Seth Aaron, on April 27, 2006. . . . Sarah Neumann and Tim Stewart were married on April 16, 2005. Alumni in attendance included Amanda Sharko, Tara Ryan, Dan Ferrara, Dave Meyer ’04S (MBA), Chris Wattengel, Jodi House Reynolds, Monica Rivera, Julie Platt ’02, and Malloy Nair, who was a bridesmaid. Sarah and Tim live in Pearl River, N.Y. . . . Shannon Phillips ’01 (MS) and William Champion were married on May 20, 2006, in Cary, N.C. Alumni in attendance included Sara Mellinger, Sheila Connor, Amie Carr, Grace Pazdan, Adam and Kate Coleman Glasser, Mike Polenberg, Scott Peters ’02 (MS), Gabe Angelone, and Adam Smith. . . . Marla Rappaport writes, “I finished my M.B.A. at Washington University in St. Louis. I concentrated in brand management and general management. I am looking forward to starting my new career as a buyer for Target in Minneapolis.” . . . Samuel Thomas received his Ph.D. in chemistry from MIT last June. He began his postdoctoral position at Harvard University in July.

2001
Jon Chassin and Lara Berwanger ’02 announce their engagement. A September 2 wedding is planned. Jon and Lara live in New York City. . . . Rosanna Kreychman sends a photo and writes, “On April 8, 2006, I married Mark Fox. Alumni in attendance included Kati Goodberlet, Erik Cox ’98 and his wife, Rachel, and Nataly Blintsovskaya Glinsky ’99. Michael Ryan and Ashley Huffman Brulle, of the IES Abroad program, also attended. I graduated from law school in New York City, and Mark is an editor with Columbia University Press. We live in Brooklyn.” . . . Jean Publicover writes, “I received my Ph.D. in microbiology from Yale University last May.” . . . Jonathan and Tara Tischler Von Kohorn send a photo and announce the birth of their daughter, Lillian Joyce, last July.

Lara Berwanger (see ’01). . . . Michael Carletta is director of compliance and assistant director in athletic communications at Canisius College in Buffalo. . . . Melissa Hendricks writes, “I received my M.D. from SUNY Stony Brook last May and was selected for membership in the American Osteopathic Association. I am a resident in pediatrics at Duke University.” . . . Joshua Miller ’04M (MPH) and Ellen Dombrowski ’03 were married on June 25, 2006, in Smithtown, Long Island. Alumni in attendance included Joshua Rolnick ’03, Matthew Fabrizio ’04, Brian Liebler ’03, and Jerry Pudusseri ’03, as well as current students Jack Kuritzky, Brian Morray, and Aekta Miglani. Joshua will complete his M.D. degree and Ellen her M.B.A. in 2008. . . . Jon Salerno (see ’03).

2003
Ellen Dombrowski (see ’02). . . . Molly Menge sends a photo and writes, “Matt Maguire and I were married on August 20, 2005, in Albany. Alumni in attendance included maid of honor Kerry Wickert ’04, bridesmaid Karyn Nugent, Adam Sleeter, Patty Heckmann ’05, Allison O’Neill ’04, Nithin Raikar ’04, ’05 (MS), Sonja Stracke ’04, Eli Hale ’04, ’06S (MBA), Amit Bhagoji ’04, ’06S (MBA), Brad Grattan ’06, and Joe Lanning ’00. I’m a physical therapy graduate student at SUNY Upstate Medical University, and Matt works for Excellus BlueCross BlueShield in Syracuse.” . . . Dave Messenheimer writes, “Jon Salerno and I have been living and training at the U.S. Olympic Training Centers in Colorado Springs and Chula Vista, Calif. I am part of the triathlon national resident team, and Jon is on the emerging athlete team. We currently are pursuing our goals of making the 2008 Olympic trials. I am ranked 100th in the world and hope to stay in the top 125 (required for the trials). It is an interesting life—one that Rochester prepared us for, both mentally and physically—we ran track and cross country at the University.”

2004
Donald Hoffend completed a master’s degree at Wake Forest University.

2005
Greg Owsley continues to juggle—an “addiction” he started at Rochester as a member of the juggling club.
