George Jenkins writes, “I am alive and well. Have lived in Massachusetts since 1988, Boston in particular since 1998. In 2006, I reached a milestone, which many of my classmates will achieve soon: I became a grandfather. My daughter gave birth to Johnathan Noah Hille on April 9, 2006. I really like having grandparent status, and I now understand what the fuss is all about. I get to play with my grandson, and whenever he needs to be changed or fed, I just hand him off to one of his parents. My son, Peter, is a cook at the 99 Restaurant in Ashland, Miss. Careerwise, I still work for Digitas in the creative department. Like many classmates, I am an AARP member (I joined in 2003). My wife, Alison, and I try to travel as frequently as possible. We have booked our 14th cruise vacation for April, sailing from Ft. Lauderdale to Los Angeles via the Panama Canal. We visited Alaska in 2005. For health and meditation, I practice the Yang style of t’ai chi ch’uan at the Roxbury T’ai Chi Academy and also teach a t’ai chi class at my office. We try to live as ‘green’ a lifestyle as possible, so we are Zipcar members.”
