1990

Matthew Eagleton ’94M (MD) has been named the 2007 Wylie Scholar in Academic Vascular Surgery by the Pacific Vascular Research Foundation. He is a vascular surgeon and scientist at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio.

1991

Luke Bellocchi writes that he has been appointed assistant commissioner for U.S. Customs & Border Protection (Department of Homeland Security), after serving as a staff member in the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives. . . . Carolyn Weisberger Mendelson writes that she has been appointed a visiting lecturer of business administration at the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School of Business. She also is counsel to the Pennsylvania Securities Commission and lives in Squirrel Hill in Pittsburgh with her husband, Marc, who owns a local business. Carolyn also has been elected to a one-year term as vice president to the board of Jewish Family & Children’s Services of Pittsburgh.

Leslie Firtell writes that after 10 years in the legal industry, she has started her own company, Tower Legal Staffing. The company specializes in placing temporary attorneys and paralegals at law firms and corporations in the New York City area. Delia Brandel McCubbin sends a photo of her, her husband, James, and their son, David William, born in July 2006. They married in May 2001 and live in Dublin, Ohio. Delia is a registered nurse. . . . Pamela Simon Adelman writes that she works at Merck & Co. as a program manager in client services. She lives in the Philadelphia suburbs with her husband, Bob Adelman ’95, and their two daughters, Rachel, 4, and Allison, 2. She would love to hear from old friends she may have lost touch with. Stanley ’99M (MD) ’03M (Res) and Eva Weis Bykov ’99W (MS), send a photo and an update: A trained counselor, Eva worked in a variety of mental health and higher education jobs “before taking some time off to hang out” with her kids. Stan is a private-practice ophthalmologist in Brooklyn. The family lives in East Hills, N.Y. . . . Brian Ferguson and his wife, Heather, write to announce the birth of twin boys, Devdan and Dylan, born September 29, 2006. . . . Amber Scott writes that she is an associate broker with Cushman & Wakefield Inc. of Colorado. Along with her team, Amber assists clients with lease negotiations and renewals, and the acquisition and disposal of commercial real estate.

Rachel Dickler Coker and her husband, Eric, send a photo of the baby girl they welcomed on April 24, 2007. Charlotte Betty weighed “an amazing” 9 pounds 14 ounces and joins big sister Sophie Jean at home in Apalachin, N.Y. Rachel is the editor of the newspaper for faculty and staff at Binghamton University. . . . Cheryl Lonabaugh Tuohy (see ’96 Nursing).

David Freedman has accepted a position as an assistant professor in the department of neurobiology at the University of Chicago. He writes, “I’ll be setting up my own brain research lab and will also be teaching undergrads and graduate students. My wife, Constance, and I will be moving from Boston to Chicago sometime around December 2007, and it would be great to hear from any classmates in the Chicago area. Hope Osborne Garrett and her husband, Michael, announce the arrival of their second child, Emily Marie, on May 17, 2007. They send a photo of Emily with big sister Danielle Renee. Alisha Thompson-Keehn and her husband, Marion, send a photo to announce that they welcomed a baby boy, Nicholas Christian, on April 2, 2006. The family lives in Atlanta, where Alisha works as a project manager in the department of human genetics at Emory University’s School of Medicine. Marion is in the Army and based in Atlanta.

Kate Winkler is the chief of staff for Rep. Joe Crowley (D-NY). She previously was Rep. Nita Lowey’s (D-NY) principal staffer for the appropriations subcommittee on Labor, Health, and Human Services and Education.

1999

Genesee Adkins sends regards from Seattle, where she has completed her fifth legislative session as a nonprofit lobbyist and policy director on transportation and environmental issues in Olympia. She sends a photo showing her at a bill signing with state legislators and Washington Gov. Christine Gregoire. . . . Ross Liebman writes that he married Anh Tran on June 10, 2007, in New York City. He is in a sleep medicine fellowship at the University of Michigan. . . . Dawn Roy sends a photo from her August 2006 wedding to Michelle Kline ’97. The civil ceremony in Ottawa, Canada, was followed by a wedding in Syracuse on October 14, 2006, the 10-year anniversary of their first date, which took place after working together in the dishroom at Danforth Dining Center. Alumni included wedding photographer Tammie Malarich ’97 and matron of honor Sohug Mookerjee ’97. Also attending were Jessica Reddington Fox, Josh Smiling ’98, Rebecca Dalpe ’99, Jeff Fox ’98, Lorna Wright ’98, and Lap Chung ’97, ’05S (MBA). . . . Nathan and Amanda Baldauf Slavik ’01 write that they welcomed twin sons, Luke Pascall and William Rost, on March 11, 2007.
