2000

Margaret Benenati Bogumil and her husband, Todd, announce the October 2008 birth of their daughter, Sarah Madeline. She writes: “We live in Brighton and I work in donor relations at the University, planning events involving the president and various donors.”

2002

Dave ’01 (MS) and Rachel Heafitz King send a photo from their wedding on June 7, 2008, as well as an update. Alumni at the wedding included (back row) Nick Rutar ’01, Adam Smith ’00, Francis Wacenske, Matt Vaughn, Rishi Mulgund, Brian Kehoe, and Nate Work; (front row) Laura Vivier, Jen Brown Rutner, Dave, Rachel, Sue Mayo, Emily Berenson, and Nellie Coats. Rachel earned her PhD in higher education and student affairs and is the assistant dean of students at the University of Northern Colorado. Dave received his PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Colorado and is the president of Boulder Surface Dynamics. Rachel and Dave live outside Boulder, Colo. with their labradoodle, Finley. . . . Matthew Vitale and Julie Dreyfus ’03 married on December 23, 2008, at the 30 Mile Lighthouse along Lake Ontario. Matthew writes: “We are currently living in Boston where Julie is completing her master’s degree in agriculture, food, and the environment at Tufts University. I am completing my internal medicine residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where I will be starting full time as an attending physician in July 2009.” . . . Kimberly Chesebrough Pierce and her husband, Jonathan, announce the birth of their first child, daughter Leah Noel, in December 2008. They live in Fairfax, Va.

Samantha Helmig married Ryan Faulkner on June 14, 2008, in Rehoboth Beach, Del. Alumni at the wedding included (back row, left to right): Brieanne Turchetti McLaughlin, Jessica Marcinkevage, Samantha Faulkner, Shari Cuomo ’05, and Lisa Schiff ’03; (front row left to right): Rachel Theriot ’03, Rebecca Porter, Lauren Prusnofsky ’05, and Elizabeth Lanik ’05, ’06S (MBA). Samantha adds: “We now live in Raleigh-Durham, N.C. I am a consultant for Credit Risk Management and Ryan is a vice president in the commercial real estate group at SunTrust Bank.”

Rebecca Fronheiser, a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army, graduated from the Army Medical Officer Basic Leadership Course at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Tex.
