David Temes has joined the Syracuse law firm Green & Seifter Attorneys. . . . Kyle Leach writes that after four years as director of sports information at Swarthmore College, he left to begin work on a master’s degree in magazine, newspaper, and online journalism at the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. “I look forward to being in upstate N.Y. again,” he adds. . . . Lauren Mele and John McCauslin send a photo and an update. They were married on February 7, 2009, in Vieques, Puerto Rico, and live in Boston. 2003

David Orlando writes, “I have successfully defended my thesis, ‘Regulation of Global Transcription Dynamics During Cell Division and Root Development,’ and received my PhD in computational biology and bioinformatics from Duke University as of February 26, 2009.” . . . Lana Knox and Scott Guthrie were married on September 13, 2008, at the Cleveland Botanical Garden in Cleveland. Emily Faber Densley and Megan Green ’05 were bridesmaids. Lana is a litigation associate at the law firm of Bricker & Eckler and will begin a two-year federal clerkship for Judge Kathleen McDonald O’Malley of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio in September 2009. Scott does political fundraising and was finance director for U.S. Senator George Voinovich. He is currently fundraising for a statewide campaign. The couple lives in the town of Rocky River.

2004

Leah Rossmann received her doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland in May. . . . Kirstin Michel has been named consulting projects manager at the Robert B. Sharp Company of Colorado, a Denver company that offers fundraising advice to nonprofits and philanthropic organizations. . . . David Reiner was ordained as a rabbi from the Hebrew Union College–Jewish Institute of Religion in June.
