River Campus Undergraduate 1950s and Earlier

1931

Flora Rizzo celebrated her 100th birthday in June, according to her cousin, Emmanuel Paxhia ’54. Emmanuel writes that Flora taught foreign languages in the Rochester City School District for 41 years and retired in 1973, at which time she was the director of foreign languages for the district. Emmanuel adds that one of the guests at the celebration was Louise Davids Rickers, who had celebrated her own 100th birthday in May.

Mary McGinn Kelly ’59N writes that Roberta Busky Abrams ’59N has been awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award for outstanding service and support of nursing in Michigan from the Coalition of Michigan Organizations of Nursing.
