LaRon Nelson ’09N (PhD) has been named assistant dean for global and community affairs at the University of South Florida’s nursing school. In June, he was awarded a 2012 Impact HIV/AIDS Champion of Change Award during the International AIDS Conference in Washington, D.C. Previously, LaRon was an assistant professor at the University of Toronto’s nursing school and a 2011 recipient of Canada’s Rising Star in Global Health Award.
