WOMEN IN MUSIC String Scene
wim (Photo: Adam Fenster)

Harp Harmony: An ensemble of harpists performs Anthill, a work by composer Catherine Kontz, in a noontime concert in the Main Hall at the Eastman School. Part of Eastman’s annual Women in Music festival in late March, the performance was one of several featuring concerts, rehearsals, coaching sessions, lectures, and presentations. This spring’s guest composer was Melinda Wagner, who won the 1999 Pulitzer Prize for her Concerto for Flute, Strings, and Percussion.
