1946

John Kennell (MD) (see ’42 College).

1965

John Santos (MD) has won a 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award from the North Shore Medical Center in Salem, Mass. Certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine, John has been treating patients at the medical center for more than 40 years.

1982

Harold Paz (MD) (see ’77 College).

1985

Steven Schechter (MD) writes that he lives in Providence, R.I., with his wife, Naomi, and two sons, Aaron and Avi, and has been named interim chief of the division of colorectal surgery in the surgery department of Brown University’s medical school.

1994

Neal Lindeman (MD) has won a College of American Pathologists Distinguished Patient Care Award. He cochaired a panel that established molecular testing guidelines for various mutations in lung cancer patients and has been a leader in efforts to standardize molecular testing. He’s the director of molecular diagnostics at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and associate professor of pathology at Harvard Medical School.

1995

Karl Illig (Res), ’97M (Flw) writes that he’s lead editor of the textbook Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (Springer), which offers an overview of the group of disorders caused by compression of nerves, arteries, and veins traversing the base of the neck to the arm. Karl is a professor of surgery and director of the vascular surgery division at the University of South Florida.
