In July, alumni around the country—and abroad—continued the tradition of marking George Eastman’s birthday with gatherings at local hot spots. Although the events, hosted jointly by the Office of Alumni Relations and the Young Alumni Council, have been consistently popular among young alumni, this year the celebrations were especially successful in attracting multigenerational groups. Born on July 12, 1854, the founder of Eastman Kodak Co. remains one of the most significant benefactors in the University’s history. Here are snapshots from just a few of the parties. Alas, they were taken digitally. But digital photography, too, was a Kodak invention . . .
