CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION: The Eastman Institute for Oral Health kicked off its centennial year this spring with an event—Shine a Light on Eastman Dental—that literally put a spotlight on it. Founded by George Eastman as the Rochester Dental Dispensary, the institute began offering much-needed dental care to Rochester schoolchildren. The institute has grown into an internationally recognized center of oral health research, education, and clinical care. It has also expanded its original mission of community service to include older adults and people with medically complex health issues and intellectual and developmental disabilities.
