NEW - Exciting Micro Fitness Classes now being offered!
Well-U is excited to offer the following NEW classes for employees:
- Ab Blast
- Body Tone
- Floor Yoga
- Tai Chi
The classes will be offered at different times to accommodate varying schedules. Classes are 20 minutes in length; one day/week for 8 weeks (Zumba and Tai Chi for 60 minutes). In the summer of 2007, Well-U began to offer Yoga classes to University employees. Classes are held on the River Campus and at the Medical Center. They usually occur during the lunch hour. Each session is 8 weeks.
Yoga is an excellent practice for the mind, body and soul. The benefits of Yoga are bountiful:

- Increases lubrication of the joints, ligaments, and tendons
- Tones the muscles
- Improves respiration and vitality

Workplace Yoga is becoming a popular worksite wellness choice as companies strive to promote health among their employees. It is a convenient way for employees to impact their health in a positive way. Participating in workplace yoga can improve morale, reduce absenteeism and increase concentration.
