Jane Friedman and Larry Kirshbaum on Obsessed

Until yesterday I’d never heard of Obsessed with Samantha Ettus and doubt I’ll be watching this much in the future (“the typical guest on Obsessed is a charismatic fireball of talent and passion . . . [and] has likely been on Oprah, The Today Show and countless other media outlets sharing industry wisdom,” which is why Obsessed is so, uh, unique?), but this interview is actually pretty awesome. Friedman and Kirshbaum are amazingly honest about the industry, sharing anecdotes about signing on the Twilight series, about why publishers have to publish way too many books, etc. It’s a lengthy, fascinating interview that’s definitely worth watching:
