By This Time Tomorrow . . .

We’ll have announced the 25-title fiction longlist for this year’s Best Translated Book Awards. Any never-before-translated book published between December 1, 2010 and December 31, 2011 is eligible, and looking at the list, I have to say that this year is particularly loaded . . .

But rather than tease you with hints as to what made the list, and what didn’t, feel free to make your own recommendations in the comments section below.

Also, as we did last year, we’re going to follow up the announcement with 25 days of “Why This Book Should Win” posts from a range of people. This will run from March 5th through April 6th, and we will announce the finalists for both fiction and poetry on Tuesday, April 10th, with the winners being announced during the PEN World Voices Festival the first week of May.

In the meantime, speculate away . . .
