Day of Translation @ George Mason

The Center for the Art of Translation is pleased to present our inaugural “Day of Translation” with the Alan Cheuse International Writers Center. All panels and events will take place on the George Mason University campus in Fairfax, VA.

Writers and translators appearing include: Kareem Abdulrahman, Karen Emmerich, Bruce Fulton, María José Giménez, Katrine Jensen, Roy Kesey, Khet Mar, Soledad Marambio, Howard Norman, and Sergio Weisman. Panel topics include: “Contemporary Spanish Literature,” “Translation as a Political Act,” “The Art of Translation,” and “The Literature of Asylum.” Karen Emmerich will give the keynote address.

All events are free and open to the public.

When: April 5; Opening remarks at 10 a.m.
