Highland Expands Emergency Department

Highland Hospital’s emergency department will be expanded and renovated thanks to a $1 million donation from the Louis and Molly B. Wolk Foundation.

The grant, the largest in the 117-year-old hospital’s history, will go toward renovations to increase the size of the emergency department from 7,000 square feet to more than 17,000 square feet and add seven acute-care beds.

In recognition of the grant, the department will be renamed in honor of the Wolks.
