Payment Card Processing
Accepting credit/debit cards for payment requires strict adherence to specific policies and procedures. The card brands (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB International) require all merchants to follow the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).
The University of Rochester is committed to offering the most advanced, secure, and efficient payment processing solutions to meet the needs of all departments while maintaining PCI DSS compliance per University’s policies.
The University has engaged Arrow Payments to begin managing support for all merchant-related payment processing needs. This new partnership guarantees that you will receive ongoing assistance, specialized knowledge, prompt responsiveness, and strict adherence to compliance standards.

To enhance our services in these areas, we have partnered with Arrow Payments to launch an important online survey accessible to all departments and organizations accepting payment cards as a method of payment. Your assistance with completing the survey will confirm the Treasury’s inventory of active solutions and devices, which is a requirement of PCI DSS.
If your department accepts payment cards, we kindly request you and your team participate and complete it at your earliest convenience. Your cooperation is crucial in our efforts to ensure payment security across the University.
