CLEAR+

The CLEAR+ Committee provides vetting to reduce risk for all equipment and software purchases, and associated vendors that may enter the organization.

CLEAR+ Information

What categories fall under the CLEAR+ review?
  • Medical Imaging Equipment (e.g. X-ray, CT, MRI, or Photography Equipment)
  • Medical/Clinical equipment for patient/subject use or diagnosis
  • Software that uses, transmits, or stores data
  • Connectivity to the Enterprise Network, either hardwired or wireless (e.g. Bluetooth or Radio Frequency)
  • Software that connects with EPIC, the health system’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Clinical Laboratory Equipment, including Reagent Rental Equipment Agreements
  • Any Radiation-Emitting Source
  • Software/Application/Cloud Environment
  • Hospital Bed/Stretcher/Table
  • IT or AV Equipment (including all tablets and mobile devices)
  • Trial/Evaluation/Rental/Loaner Equipment or Leased Equipment

Also consider if there are new disposable or consumable products related to your request. Those will also fall under the review as they will be connected to the CLEAR+ good/service you want to order.

How to Order CLEAR+ Goods or Services in Workday

There is a specific procedure for ordering and goods or services that may fall into the CLEAR+ committee’s purview.  Any applicable orders will be routed to an additional approver through the CLEAR+ committee for review.  Please see the PowerPoint linked below for the full process and steps to follow.
