This is a transformative time for the University of Rochester. In 2021 President Sarah Mangelsdorf along with the senior leadership team and cabinet, Board of Trustee members, faculty, students, staff and alumni began working together to define what it means to be a modern, global research institution. What quickly emerged from these strategic planning efforts is the theme boundless possibilities.

Financial and operational leaders are inclined to the precise nature of balance sheets and audits, so it seems counterintuitive to embrace a boundless concept! But I believe the theme accurately reflects both our University’s future and the essential purpose of my inaugural office.

Providing prudent financial strategies and careful oversight of infrastructure and core operations, helps reduce administrative burdens. Monitoring and analyzing the University’s overall financial health helps uncover synergies and innovative approaches. These efforts expand the University’s capacity to explore boundless possibilities in education, research, patient care and community involvement.

My team consists of committed and dedicated leaders with the deep knowledge and expertise to collaborate and push us forward. It is an exciting time to be part of the University of Rochester. I invite you to learn about our departments and work with us to explore the possibilities.
