Toys for All Tots



For children with severely impaired movement or other disabilities, the simple act of playing with a toy can be a tremendous challenge. Students from the Hajim School are addressing this issue. They are using their engineering skills to adapt battery-operated toys so that children affiliated with Golisano Children’s Hospital can experience the joy of play. Learn more.

The River Campus Libraries (RCL) serves as a gateway to information, a hub for programming, and a technology showcase. With new study spaces, expanded research collections, and service-oriented staff, RCL supports students and faculty as they explore, research, and collaborate. Turning Waiting Rooms into “Welcome Rooms”


Inside the Anthony L. Jordan Health Center at Brown Square, in the heart of a Rochester neighborhood marked by its high rate of poverty, lives a group of polychromatic paintings created specifically for the center’s space and patients by students in an introductory painting class taught in spring 2017 at the University of Rochester. Learn more about how students and the community have benefitted from this experience.
