Day of Giving: Thank you

Yesterday, the entire University of Rochester community came together to make a difference on our 2021 Day of Giving. Together, more than 2,912 donors made charitable gifts, and donations are still coming in. Today, President Mangelsdorf is saying thank you with a special message.

University leaders respond to verdict in trial of Derek Chauvin

After the announcement of the verdict in the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, President Sarah Mangelsdorf, Provost Rob Clark, and Medical Center CEO Mark Taubman sent a message to faculty, staff, and students with a commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment for everyone to process and share their feelings in an atmosphere of safety and respect.

New Orthopedics campus ready to take the next step

The largest capital project in University history is moving forward at The Marketplace Mall in Henrietta. Design of the 330,000-square-foot building is complete, and construction will soon start on a project that will give many clinical services room to grow their programs for the community.

Celebrating commencement 2021

The University is conducting in-person commencement exercises for graduates on two consecutive weekends: May 14-16 and 20-23. While no guests or visitors are allowed at in-person events, ceremonies will be streamed live online.
