Golisano Children’s Hospital

Funds to support facilities projects helped build the new, eight-story Golisano Children’s Hospital, which opened in 2015, and includes the Gosnell Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, private patient rooms, and an advanced imaging facility. 2017 saw the opening of the Levine Autism Clinic, tailored to meet sensory sensitivities and stimulation for children with autism spectrum disorder, and Phase II of the Hospital’s construction including a new pediatric intensive care unit, a second unit for heart patients, and state-of-the-art operating rooms.

Funds for recruitment helped draw master clinicians, cutting-edge researchers, and innovative educators—ensuring the robustness of the health care, medicine, and science workforce in upstate New York for generations to come.

Programs like music therapy and social work were able to provide vital services to children with healthcare problems and to help families across the region keep their children healthy.
